Congratulations
to Peter Rothe our 2011 Zia Seniors Champion with a very nice 133 net. Thanks
to all the members of our board who worked so hard to make the two day
championship a success. The weather was mostly good, the courses were in very good
shape and the staff at both Sonoma and NMSU did an excellent job. All in all it
was a great tournament and the Banquet at the Sunset Grill was excellent.
Two of our Board
members terms expired this year, and we voted to replace outgoing Secretary
Phil Harrington, with John McKinney and our Course Negotiator, Dan Liesner,
with Ross Kremer.
I would like to
recognize Mr. Harrington for all his hard work over the years, and Mr. Liesner
who has worked hard and given of his time, and personal cost, traveling to
courses to negotiate our tournaments. Thank you gentlemen. The Board would also
like to ask Mr. Liesner to remain on the Board as Vice President.
Our total prize
fund payout for the Championship was $2505 for the two day event.
